This guide will walk you through the new EBP merge feature, available exclusively to administrators. This feature allows you to combine multiple EBPs into a single record, streamlining your data and ensuring accuracy.
Step 1: Accessing the merge feature
As an administrator, you will now see a new "Merge EBPs" button within the "Search EBPs" section. This button is only visible to users with administrative privileges.
Step 2: Selecting EBPs for merging
Before initiating the merge, you must select the EBPs you wish to combine. If you attempt to click "Merge EBPs" without selecting any, you will receive an error message:
To select EBPs, simply check the box next to each record you want to merge. Once you have made your selections, click the "Merge EBPs" button.
Step 3: Choosing the Primary EBP
After selecting your EBPs and clicking "Merge EBPs," you will be presented with a screen displaying the selected records. On this screen, you need to identify the primary EBP you wish to keep. This primary EBP will be the "master" record, and all information from the other selected EBPs will be merged into it.
Important note: This process cannot be undone. Carefully review your selections before proceeding.
Once you have chosen the primary EBP by clicking the corresponding radio button, click "Merge EBPs" to finalise the process.
