Using the Boxall Profile® Online assessments allows you to review where any pupil is compared to a competently functioning child at that age. This then enables you to see the gaps and work out the interventions needed.
So, regardless of the pupils special needs or developmental age, we advise you to complete the assessments with honesty and you will have a starting point of where they are. Then you can go from there to set appropriate targets and teach the necessary skills.
There are two types of Boxall Profile® Online assessments - one for children (primary school pupils), and the other for young people (secondary school students). The Boxall Profile® Online will automatically select the type of assessment according to the date of birth for the child or young person entered when the EBP was first created.
However, if you are working with a child or young person near the crossover age (year 6 or year 7) who seems younger or older than their age, then you can use the alternative assessment. To do this, start a new assessment and select 'Show Advanced Options' at the bottom of the form. This will add a new option to the form to select the assessment type.
